William Wegman’s (*1943 in Holyoke / USA, lives in New York) staged photographs and videos center on his dog Man Ray – named after the American photographer, painter, and object artist of the same name – and his dog Fay Ray, whose name refers to the Canadian-American actress Fay Wray. Through staged scenes using numerous props and costumes, Wegman lends surreal qualities to his photographs and videos.
