Jud Yalkut

Nam June Paik (*1932 in Seoul, †2006 in Miami) and Jud Yalkut (*1938 in New York, †2013 in Cincinnati / USA) are considered defining figures in video art. In 1966, they began a long-term collaboration in which they combined hybrid video works with installation and performance. They explored the possibilities of manipulating the electronic image, a process that also made use of the video synthesizer developed by Paik and Shuya Abe (*1932 in Miyagi Prefecture / Japan).
