Ana Prvački
Ana Prvački’s works on paper explore a delicate, often hypnotic interplay of repetitive marks that channel a meditative rhythm, mirroring her broader interest in music, sexuality, and the value of playful experimentation. Her drawings become acts of embodied flow – gestural notations reminiscent of musical scores or intimate rituals. Each mark – whether ear, clef, or another symbol – suggests discipline and devotion, inviting entry into a space where sensuality and playfulness converge. Through this practice, Prvački transforms the page into a field of quiet intensity, where mindfulness, eroticism, and the joy of process interweave. Her interdisciplinary artistic practice spans video, augmented reality, sculpture, drawing, painting, and performance. Precise observation of nature and the everyday, infused with humor and poetry, serve as key sources of inspiration.
Ana Prvački (*1976, lives and works in Berlin) has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, among them Chatsworth House, Derbyshire / UK (2025); Gropius Bau, Berlin (2022); De Young Museum, San Francisco (2019); Hammer Museum, Los Angeles (2011); Gwangju Biennale (2021); Bangkok Art Biennale (2020); Istanbul Biennial (2015); documenta (2012); Sydney Biennale (2008).
